When the going gets tough....GET TOUGHER!!!

So the title of my blog is going to be my mantra for a time. I have had a rough time of it lately. I have been as sick as a dog (however sick that is) and I have lost nearly a week of work out time because of it. I have not had a desire to eat but when I do I am eating junk, then realizing how much I don't like it. This is good. I even bought one of those new 3 Musketeers Bars and I could barely finish the first bite and my body said "YUCK" I am so thankful for this because this helps me not to crave these types of thing when I am hungry.

I am being a bit random and that is fine I just wanted to say I need to get through this nasty sickness and get tough again.

By the way, good job to everyone on their weight loss big or small. As I always say " A little bit of something, is better than a LOT of nothing."

Hi Sara! I'm glad my blog inspired you today! I have to say that Portions has always been a problem for me! I guess when you ask "how did I do it?"....the answerr is...I just simply focussed on it, and made a conscious effort every meal to measure it out! I used a dessert plate rather than a large plate. I made sure to fill half that plate with veggies, a palm's size of lean protein, and some wild rice or small (very small) portion of potatoes. I've tried to cut out anything white for the time being (bread, pasta, potatoe...you get the picture). If I still feel hungry...I try water first...if 10 minutes later I still feel hungry...it's raw veggies! But honestly...never had to do the veggies after water!!! Did you know your brain sends the same signal when you need food and water?! So quite often when we reach for food...it's really fluids we want!! Cool huh? Anyways...I hope that helps, and keep up the good work!

I love that saying. It must be the time of year for sickness. Glad you are finally getting better.
