So I have had a rough week. I am very stressed with school and home and church responsibilities and my desire to help everyone out like I was during the summer. I have given in to temptation on numerous occasions and regret it. I always do well in the morning and into the afternoon UNTIL about 3 and I am just dying for some crap food. Unfortunately we have had some lying around so I ate it. Now that it is all gone I hope to avoid this kind of thing in the future. I am doing well on the exercise thing though. I love that I did 3.6 miles today and felt like I could have done more. I know my body is getting used to the exercise and need to step it up a notch. I am also taking a multi-vitamin to help me too. I hope this works. I don't think I will lose anything this week, I will be lucky just to maintain.
I am not discouraged just disappointed with myself. Any advice to help relieve the afternoon binging blues? I hope everyone else had a better week than I did.

I don't know if i have any good suggestions. On my VERY desperate afternoons... I drink coffee. I'm pretty sure that's not an option for you but maybe you could find something that you enjoy that is virtually FREE... like that amazing 94% fat free popcorn or something. Just remember that life is going to keep on going and your responsibilities in church, home etc... have been and WILL always be there. It's finding a balance and making time for yourself.. which is usually a huge change for all of us. This is about changing your life and unfortunately life doesn't really change around you.. you are the only thing in it that is really changing. So say goodbye to last week and embrace the new day. YOU are the only one in your way and YOU can TOTALLY do this!!
Sarah. You are doing great. It sounds like you have the right attitude about moving forward and not letting this setback get you down. You CAN do it! Now that all the crap food is out of your house it will be a lot easier to avoid it! Just don't let it come back in...yet! Good luck next week!
Man it sounds to me like you're doing great. I think we all have that time of day that is the hardest for us to be successful. My advice is the same as Karilynn's find something that you LOVE that is also good for you and eat it. Also, you could try something that will not cause your blood sugar to spike quickly something low glycemic. Some good choices are an apple, apple sauce, pear, peach or some oatmeal. These things will all give you a long slow burn of energy and prevent having a sugar spike and then crash that causes another craving to come.
3pm is definitely my hard time too... I feel like a ravenous beast... If I am good and don't give in to junk (which isn't as consistent as I would like) I try a piece of wheat toast with a little peanut butter... it seems to last a long time for me.
Good job Sarah! I'm with everyone else, find a good snack that is low in fat, that still satisfies. Way to go on the running. You are amazing.
