I am going to follow suit with some other girls in the competition and introduce myself a bit.
I am currently in school full-time and not necessarily enjoying it but you got to do what you got to do right? I have been married for 6 years to the cutest guy I know (other than Hugh Jackman...oh wait I don't actually know him) Anyhow, we have one little boy who is 5 and is in preschool. We have not been able to have other children and had hoped originally that me losing some weight would help but it hasn't yet...we will see. I did not struggle with weight until after I had my son and have since been the largest I have EVER been and for a long time, in my opinion. I started the last competition at 177lbs. and ended it at 159.5 but put back on a few pounds over the New Year Holiday. I have always been athletic and fit and for some reason after having a child I couldn't get the weight off of me.
My goal and hope for this new year and new competition is to learn to live healthily and happily. I want to see where I can go physically in this comp. I hope to trim up. I have always weighed more than I look and so I am just going to try to be fit.
I will do my best to support all the people in the competition but will say that once school gets going I will be a bit brief and short. I know that if you give yourself the chance to be healthy that you can find the results you want. I am realizing the control I "thought" I had when I was eating crap was NOT control but a loss of control. I know that self-control when it comes to eating and exercising is not instantly gratifying but a step towards a lifestyle that can be more long lasting and fulfilling.

Congrats on losing 18 lbs last time around! I love your attitude!! I am thinking of introducing a "Like button" idea for comments.. this might be just the idea you need to support others without having to devot too much time! EITHER WAY!! Love that you are here! We need to get together soon. When does school start?
I like your comments. There are a lot of things in life that can give us instant gratification but are not really the right thing to do. I hadn't really thought about it in terms of weight loss. Nice thoughts. It was nice to talk to you today. I needed the emotional boost - thanks!
