(Translation: Food is my friend and my enemy)
I have had a good month so far other than my lapse and stress on Saturday. I ended up allowing myself to just indulge, something I haven't done since the competition started. I realized eating like a slob was NOT fun and I nearly had to FORCE myself to even eat crap. Luckily, this bad day of eating has made me realize how much I don't need to do that. However, I am grateful, especially this time of year that I have food to eat and meals to prepare and money to buy the food my body needs.
I have been lifting more and doing varying work-outs hoping to confuse my muscles and build them. I haven't been able to work out as much as I would like though due to life. I am happy to say that I am fitting into another size...kinda. Sizes are so subjective; some brands I am a 12 and some I am a 10. Whatever, as long as it fits over my HUGE butt I am fine. I have a picture from 2003 of me in a swimsuit that I put next to my bed that I am using as a motivator. I was toned and in shape but not super thin. I want that again. In the end, I am just hoping I can finish this month off strong despite Thanksgiving and Finals Week rapidly approaching. I am going to run the local Turkey Trot though and am excited about that. I haven't run a 5k in some time. My fastest time in High School was 20 minutes but now I think I can only do it in 30 minutes at best!
I hope everyone is doing well and working hard. A little bit of something is BETTER than a whole lot of nothing!

Thanks Sarah for your comments. I LOVE P90X! When I'm finished with this round, I'm taking 3 weeks off, and then hitting it again. This is THE most fabulous workout program I've ever encountered. SO fresh and exciting, and it works!
Yeah!!!! Way to make the connection. Keep it up girl. You will be hotter than the old you in the picture.
LOVE THE LAST LINE OF THIS POST! Wish I could run the turkey trot with you. :)
A little bit of something is BETTER than a whole lot of nothing! AMEN!!! have you ever read the book called the slight edge? it's an excellent book that talks all about just that. it's all the little choices you make good or bad that in the end determine where your destination ends. Keep on pressing forward for that slight edge.
I am sure you can finish strong even with Thanksgiving and your finals.... especially if you almost had to FORCE yourself to eat junk... that shows that things are changing... and you can and will be able to stick to it.
